Born, raised and educated in Ireland, Fergal has a bachelor’s degree in electrical and Electronic Engineering and a master’s degree in engineering systems.
He started his professional career as a graduate engineer at Cambridge Silicon Radio, where he spent 8 years learning, designing and ultimately leading the development of analog/RF and mixed-signal sub-systems for various modules of CSRs chipsets. These include Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and FM transceivers on various leading edge CMOS processes for tier-1 customers such as Nokia, Sony and BMW.
The mobile-phone technology division of CSR was bought by Samsung in2012, where Fergal spent the next 1.5 years responsible for the development of Bluetooth PLLs as part of the Galaxy S6/7 range of mobile phones.
Fergal relocated to Australia in 2014 where he joined Nitero, a CSIRO sponsored start-up, spun-out of the 60GHz CMOS transceiver research team from The University of Melbourne. During his time there, he was responsible for the architecture of the LO sub-systems in both the RF and base-band chipsets.
Nitero was acquired by US based AMD in 2017 where Fergal was promoted to the most senior technical level at the Melbourne based design centre. Whilst at AMD he led development of PLLs and designed PAs for the 60GHz CMOS chipset, sharing time between AMDs headquarters in Santa Clara, USA, and Melbourne Australia.
He joined Millibeam in early 2022 as Senior Principal Engineer and in February 2023 he was promoted to Director, Mixed-Signal Design, making him responsible for all aspects related to the implementation of world-class IC's for MILLIBEAM’s suite of products.

Yifan comes with a deep expertise in antenna design and has a strong track record across both industry and academia. His professional experience includes a stint as Principal Antenna/Packaging Engineer at Movandi, which is well-known U.S. based mmWave 5G company. During his time at Movandi, Yifan designed and built phased-array antenna modules from 28GHz all the way up to140GHz.
Prior to that, he was an Antenna System R&D Lead at EM Solutions, which is a Queensland-based manufacturer of mmWave radio systems and components. At EM Solutions, Yifan developed novel theoretical techniques towards the development of reconfigurable EM structures and antennas, in addition to leading a multidisciplinary engineering team working on the development of antennas and signal processing.
Yifan worked for several years as a Lecturer at the University of Queensland, and his work in academia is complemented by 60 publications with a high citation rate. He has been granted several patents in the field of antennas and has a distinguished body of work that includes 5G mmWavephased-array antennas, holographic planar antennas for satcom applications and transformation optics.

Christian has been involved with semiconductor testing and IC validation for twenty years, spanning multitude of specialisations and areas such as digital-to-analog converters, low-dropout regulators, DC-DC converters, operational amplifiers, power MOSFETs, multi-port chargers, automotive magnetic sensors, and microphones.
